Our courses cater to everyone. Whether you are a beginner, have skills you want to polish, or are looking to build on existing professional experience, our courses are your path from complete beginner to confident, trained professional.

Knowadays courses are accessed online and feature written content in digestible chunks, interspersed with short tutorial videos, quizzes, and assignments. You are free to work at your own pace and dip in and out of completed lessons. The quizzes and exercises are not assessed (only your final assignment is), and the results are not stored, meaning you can try them as many times as you like to reinforce your learning.

To complete any of our courses, you’ll need a laptop or desktop computer with an internet connection and access to a full version of Microsoft Word (2016, 2019, 2021, or 365). Although you can view the courses on smartphones, tablets, and Chromebooks, they use a limited version of Microsoft Word that doesn’t include all the necessary tools. Plus, a larger screen size is preferable for study.

Other than that, all you need is the ability to set aside some study time, a little self-discipline, and the desire to learn new skills!

If English isn’t your first language, you can still take the course, but please note that passing the final assessment calls for a high-level understanding of written English.

Our courses range from short summary courses that may take just a few hours to in-depth courses with 40+ hours of content. The prices reflect the different levels od content and tutor interaction. We work in partnership with a leading proofreading and editing service called Proofed. If you pass our Becoming A Proofreader course with a distinction score of at least 80%, you’ll be offered the chance to work with Proofed.

And if you don’t score 80% right away, there’s no need to worry. You can purchase additional attempts at the final assignment, and you’ll get lots of support from our friendly tutor team to guide you every step of the way.

Once onboarded with Proofed, you’ll be paid to proofread up to 20 documents from real clients. A friendly Proofed team member will review your work and provide valuable feedback.

If you successfully complete the trial, you’ll get access to more Proofed clients and be able to earn up to $20–$30K as a part-time proofreader. As you gain more practice and experience – and positive feedback – you’ll soon be able to tackle greater volumes of work and more challenging assignments.

Taking our Becoming An Editor course and passing the final assignment grants you enhanced benefits on top of the work guarantee offer. You’ll have access to bigger documents from the outset, and you’ll be able to take on editing as well as proofreading jobs. Along with the extra skills and confidence you’ll gain from the course, this all adds up to a higher rate of pay.

All course and bundle offer purchases will be refunded in full if requested within 14 days of the purchase date. No refunds will be given if more than 14 days have passed since the purchase.
